As reported in the February 2009 SLF Alert, President Obama has signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (“ARRA”) (H.R. 1) which, among other things, expands COBRA continuation coverage benefits for displaced workers. The Internal Revenue Service has promulgated several documents and forms for use by employers as follows:

Today, the EEOC has published its proposed regulations implementing the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act of 2008. The public comment period will close on May 1, 2009. A copy of the proposed regulations may be viewed at: http://edocket.access.gpo.gov/2009/pdf/E9-4221.pdf.
