Mitchell J. Herring is an associate at Sniffen & Spellman, P.A.  He is admitted to the Florida Bar and practices in the areas of Labor and Employment, State and Local Government and Civil Rights Litigation.  Additionally, Mr. Herring is a Registered Patent Attorney.  Prior to joining the firm, Mitchell was a Senior Attorney at the Florida Department of Management Services.  During his time with the State of Florida, Mr. Herring worked extensively with public records and the Sunshine Law, advised and represented the State in matters related to the Florida Retirement System, and drafted contracts for various grant administration, service and product procurement, and licensing matters.

Mr. Herring represents employers in state and federal courts and administrative forums including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Florida Commission on Human Relations, and the National Labor Relations Board. He also advises employers on compliance with labor and employment law.

Mr. Herring received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Florida State University and he earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He serves on the Board for the Asian Coalition of Tallahassee and is an Eagle Scout.
